The merciful and kind Lord appeared to bless Kausalya.
The mother rejoiced, sages were enchanted, and His wondrous form amazed all.

His eyes were pleasing, His body was dark like a raincloud, and He held divine weapons in His four arms.
Adorned with garlands and ornaments, His wide eyes radiated divinity. He was the destroyer of demons and an ocean of beauty.

With folded hands, I praise You. But how can I describe the infinite Lord?
You are beyond Maya, attributes, and knowledge – even the Vedas and Puranas are unable to fully describe You.

You are the ocean of compassion and bliss, the treasure of all virtues, praised by saints and scriptures alike.
For the love of Your devotees, You appeared as Shri Ram.

The Vedas proclaim that the entire universe is created by Your Maya and You reside in every atom.
You dwell in my heart – the wise are humbled hearing this truth.

When divine knowledge arose, the Lord smiled. He desired to perform many divine pastimes.
He lovingly told a story to His mother to awaken her deep love for Him as her child.

The mother then replied, her mind transformed: “O son, give up this divine form.”
“Please perform childlike pastimes, they bring me boundless joy.”

Hearing this, the wise Lord began to cry like a baby and assumed the form of a child.
Those who sing this sacred story attain the feet of the Lord and are freed from worldly suffering.

Doha – Meaning:
For the welfare of Brahmins, cows, gods, and saints, the Lord took human form.
His body was formed by His own will, and it transcends Maya and the three Gunas.
